Burghley Park Golf Club

Sponsorship and Advertising Partners

As you would expect from any modern and business orientated club, Burghley Park has a number of sponsorship and advertising opportunities available for negotiation.

Our membership represents a cross section of the local community with members travelling from Oakham to the west, Bourne and beyond in the east, Grantham in the north and also south of Peterborough.  Equally, we have visitors travelling for well over an hour to play our course and gain access to Burghley in general.  Our existing corporate sponsors and advertising partners include: household names, top local and regional operations, as well as local retailers, trade people and service providers.

We estimate that we receive over 50,000 visits per annum from people who are playing golf or using our social facilities.  We have a good publicity machine and fully understand the requirement for all sponsorship and advertising we provide, needs to be brand enhancing for our customers and clients.

We have three major offerings from which our sponsorship and advertising partners can choose, but we are always happy to provide an entrepreneurial approach to every opportunity.  The three key offerings are:

Sponsorship, which can include open and charity golf events, competitions; specific golf or social events, sections of the Club (eg juniors or our Academy) or of facilities within the Club’s infrastructure.
Hole Naming Rights, which enable the rights holders the opportunity to select an appropriate name for one of our holes, meaning that their brand is associated with a name on our scorecard or each tee.
Advertising, which can include branded signage on various spots on our course (including on each tee) practice range and around the Clubhouse.

In each of these cases, we would normally expect the length of any agreement to be a minimum of 2 years, but probably longer, to justify the set up costs for each partner.  However, each agreement and arrangement can be and often is, tailored to specific customers/clients requirements.

Each of the offerings can be negotiated to include a number of additional benefits, including:

Access to play the course, and the tee booking system, ahead of visitors;
Potential discounts on golf days and any additional rounds of golf; and
Potential discounts on any social event or function booking.
