The Golf Course Today
Burghley Park’s well-established golf course offers a unique blend of parkland and traditional links characteristics, especially during the height of the playing season. Nestled within the majestic Burghley Estate, the course is set against the rolling landscapes designed by the famed Lancelot 'Capability' Brown.
Many holes are flanked by a diverse array of trees, providing vibrant colour and a natural ambiance throughout the year. Burghley Park is celebrated for its resilience and versatility, while remaining in excellent condition across all seasons.
A highlight of the course is Burghley’s signature feature, its very own Amen Corner, comprising Holes 12 to 14. This challenging trio begins with the tricky par-4 12th, where the historic Carpenter’s Lodge adds a touch of heritage. The 13th hole is a demanding par-3, playing uphill with out-of-bounds along the left. The sequence concludes with the formidable par-4 14th, regarded as the toughest hole on the golf course.
