On Sunday Teddy won the Lincolnshire County U14, U16 and U18 Championship.
This has never been done before (to the best of knowledge of the county organisers). The tournament first took place in 1937.
It took place at Cleethorpes Golf Club in very wet and windy conditions.
Teddy was the only player in the field to play to his handicap. It was a 36 hole competition. In the first round he started with two pars before a double bogey on the par 3 3rd. He recovered with a birdie on the par 5 5th.
Two more bogeys on the front 9, he finished the front 9 3 over. A solid back nine holing some long putts meant he finished the first 18 with a 4 over 74.
This placed him in 4th position overall (1st U14, 2nd U16) at the half way stage. The rain stopped in the afternoon but the wind picked up even more. A disappointing start to the second 18 saw him 3 over after 3 holes but 8 consecutive pars steadied the ship. Another solid back 9 including chipping in from 20 yards on the 18th saw him record another 4 over 74. The first round leaders struggled in the afternoon condition meant Teddy won the overall championship by 3 shots.
Notable previous winners include Mark James of Burghley Park and Tony Jacklin.
