... THE ALSTON QUIZ ...
21 teams of 4 people entered the Alston Quiz on 15th February.
The competition was hard, and hard fought, but at the end of the evening the winners were The ‘Ancient Chalmers’ consisting of John Bircham, David Lennie, John Shales & Chris Quinn. The runners up, who ran them close at the end were The ‘Mossey Possies’, they were Steve Mossey, Annette Tiffany, Nick Pocetti & Sue Westcott. It was great to have a team from the Alston family. The first quiz was arranged by Jo Alston 34 years ago, and the competition lives on.
Huge thanks must go to Keith & Janet Duff, who organised the event, the food, set the questions, kept the score and the peace! It was a brilliant evening and a super atmosphere in our clubhouse.
